Vontimitta, 16 April 2024: The annual Brahmotsavam rituals in Vontimitta temple, off to a religious start with Ankurarpanam, the festival of prelude on Tuesday evening.
DyEOs Sri Natesh Babu, Smt Prasanthi, Superintendent Sri Hanumantaiah, Temple Inspector Sri Naveen and others were present in Beejavapanam.
Temple History and Legend
Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Ramalayam has a significant history for being the temple without the idol of Sri Hanuman as the legend narrates that it was the place where Sri Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana wandered during His Aranyavasa before He met Sri Anjaneya.
Sri Rama quenched the thirst of His beloved spouse by shooting an arrow on the ground from which water spring splashed out. And this water body is known as Rama Theertham which is located adjacent to the temple.

Temple Construction
According to the available historical evidence, this temple construction began in the 14th century and lasted till the 17th century.
The temple is an architectural marvel with unique sculptures and even the presiding deities of Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana were carved on a single rock and hence the name of the temple town, Ekasila Nagaram.

తిరుపతి, 2024 ఏప్రిల్ 16: ఒంటిమిట్ట శ్రీకోదండరామస్వామి ఆలయంలో శ్రీరామనవమి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలకు మంగ‌ళ‌వారం రాత్రి శాస్త్రోక్తంగా అంకురార్పణ జరిగింది.
ఉదయం సుప్రభాతంతో స్వామివారిని మేల్కొలిపి, పరివార దేవతలకు తిరుమంజనం నిర్వహించారు. అనంతరం మూలవర్లకు వ్యాసాభిషేకం, ఆరాధన, అర్చన చేశారు. సాయంత్రం 6 గంట‌ల‌కు అర్చకుల వేదమంత్రాల నడుమ శాస్త్రోక్తంగా అంకురార్పణ నిర్వహించారు.
ఇందులో భాగంగా శ్రీ సీతారామ లక్ష్మణ ఉత్సవమూర్తులను సర్వాంగ సుందరంగా అలంకరించి ప్రత్యేక వేదికపై కొలువుదీర్చి విష్వక్సేన పూజ, కలశ ప్రతిష్ట, కలశపూజ, వాసుదేవ పుణ్యాహవచనం, కంకణధారణ చేశారు. అనంతరం పుట్టమన్ను సేకరణ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు.
ఏప్రిల్ 17న ధ్వజారోహణం
ఏప్రిల్ 17వ తేదీ గురువారం ఉదయం 10.30 నుండి 11 గంటల మధ్య మిథున లగ్నంలో ధ్వజారోహణం జరుగనుంది. సాయంత్రం 4 నుండి రాత్రి 7 గంటల వరకు పోత‌న జ‌యంతి, కవి సమ్మేళనం, రాత్రి 7 నుండి 9 గంటల వరకు శేష వాహనసేవ నిర్వ‌హిస్తారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో డెప్యూటీ ఈవోలు శ్రీ నటేష్ బాబు , శ్రీమతి ప్రశాంతి, సూపరింటెండెంట్‌ శ్రీ హ‌నుమంత‌య్య, టెంపుల్‌ ఇన్‌స్పెక్టర్ శ్రీ న‌వీన్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
